About
About the intensive
Michael Chekhov (nephew of the playwright Anton Chekhov, and protégé of the great acting teacher Konstantin Stanislavski) created a technique for performers that focuses upon physical acting linked to the imagination through improvisatory experiments. Participants will be introduced to several of these techniques and tools and learn how to make a joyful connection between their inner and outer life for on-camera performance.
Participants should bring a thoroughly learned/memorized monologue, song lyric, or a poem they wish to renew. Together we’ll apply several Michael Chekhov Acting Technique tools to these pieces of text, and record “before” and “after” videos to assess what has shifted from the beginning to the end of intensive.
This is an Open Tier event - all levels welcome!
